Lucia recognised the importance of Pilates as a rehabilitative tool after working as a massage therapist since 2000, attending Yoga and Pilates in the Middle East 2009-2014. She received her clients from both local and international Osteopaths and Chiropractors; she worked with the Road Runners Club, Bahrain Rugby Club and whilst riding at Dilmun Stables she started working with members of the Bahrain National Show Jumping Team.
In the years before, Lucia has ridden horses for most of her life -still does- and learnt the importance of core strength through exercise and yoga; later learning of Pilates. This early exposure lead to her current path as a Massage Therapist, Pilates Instructor and Biomechanics Trainer.
Relocating to Canterbury in 2015, Lucia has continued to work as a massage therapist, receiving recommendations from Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Physiotherapists and formalising her qualifications through attending courses and workshops across the country.
Since qualifying as a Pilates Instructor, she runs group classes at The Limes Physiotherapy Clinic in Boughton under Blean, The Manor Barn in Canterbury, and Studio CT1 in Wincheap. Classes are kept small; each session has a maximum of ten participants to ensure each client receives guidance throughout.
Lucia offers one to one Pilates from Studio CT1 in Canterbury.
